Eligibility Criteria for BSF Recruitment 2024 for ASI and Head Constable
Essential Educational Qualifications (As on 01/08/2024)
- Candidates must have passed Intermediate or Senior Secondary School Certificate (10+2) examination from a recognized Board or University or equivalent.
- The candidate who has not acquired the essential educational qualification as on the stipulated date will not be eligible and need not apply.
- All candidates who are declared qualified in Physical Standard Test (PST).
- Physical Efficiency Test (PET), Computer Based Test (CBT), Skill Test will be required to produce all relevant Educational Certificates in original as proof of having acquired the minimum education qualification on or before 01/08/2024, falling which the candidature of such candidates will be cancelled. The candidates who are able to prove by documentary evidence that the result of the qualifying examination was declared on or before the cut-off date and he/she has been declared passed will also be considered to have the required Educational Qualification. It is reiterated that the result of requisite educational qualification must have been declared by the Board/University by the specified date. Mere processing of the result by the Board/University by the crucial cut-off date does not fulfil the Educational Qualification (EQ).
- In case of the candidates possessing equivalent educational qualification, such candidates shall also produce relevant Equivalence Certificate from the concerned authorities at the time of Document Verification. However, final decision regarding selection of such candidates will be taken by the concerned Appointing Authorities.
Age Limit (As on 01/08/2024)
Age limit of candidates, who apply subject posts, will be between 18 to 25 years as on 01/08/2024.

Application Fee for BSF Recruitment 2024 for ASI and Head Constable
- Fee payable Rs. 100/- only.
- Woman Candidates and candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST) and Ex – Servicemen eligible for reservation are exempted from payment of fee.
- Applicable service charges will be paid by every candidate including exempted from payment of fee.
